An oft-misunderstood stat, Attack Power is a stat that represents the impact force of a given weapon. The higher a weapon's Attack Power, the better it is at breaking enemy Poise, causing them to stagger, be knocked down, or even hurled flying by an attack! The stat also determines how effective attacks are at breaking through an enemy's guard.
In general, heavier weapons such as Greataxes and Greathammers have the highest Attack Power, and Daggers the least.
The spell Rage can increase the attack power of any weapon Harkyn has equipped. You can also bolster Attack Power by using Power Runes.

I don't remember where did I read it but I think it was on the forums but I think Attack Power is poise damage. I doesn't make sense for it to be just a general stat as every piece of damage property is separately listed and descriptive enough. I'll keep searching for evidence.
