Prayer_icon-brawling.png Prayer is a spell found in all 3 Magic trees in Lords of the Fallen. It varies slightly in each tree, restoring some Health, Magic or Energy depending on which tree you are using. Its primary function is to cast a decoy that attracts enemies attention while Harkyn is free to attack.

  • Note: Only one spell may be active at a time.
  • Note: Solace Magic classes (Paladin, Ranger and Cleric) start with level 1 Prayer unlocked.

Level 1: Requires 8 Faith
Level 2: Requires 12 Faith
Level 3: Requires 15 Faith

Prayer-Brawler_Small.png Brawling Magic Prayer

A motionless clone that attracts enemy attention to give Harkyn an advantage in combat. Restores some of your health over time.
Cost: 48 Magic per cast
Duration: 18 Seconds
Clone Health: ?? HP
Health regenerated on full duration:
Level 1: 20
Level 2: 30
Level 3: 40

The Brawling Magic Prayer is arguably the most useful of the three. Though the HP recovery from it is relatively small, it's sufficient to patch a player up between combats making it useful for allowing more patient players to save on potion use.

Prayer-Deception_Small.png Deception Magic Prayer

A motionless clone that attracts enemy attention to give Harkyn an advantage in combat. Increases Energy recovery.
Cost: 48 Magic per cast
Duration: 18 Seconds
Clone Health: ?? HP
Energy regeneration boost:
Level 1: 5%
Level 2: 10%
Level 3: 15%

The Deception Magic Prayer is the best of the three to use in combat. The energy regeneration boost, though small, can help a player recover more quickly from being staggered and helps to enable more aggressive play while encouraging enemies to go after the decoy.

Prayer-Solace_Small.png Solace Magic Prayer

A motionless clone that attracts enemy attention to give Harkyn an advantage in combat. Increases Magic recovery.
Cost: 48 Magic per cast
Duration: 18 Seconds
Clone Health: ?? HP
Magic regeneration boost:
Level 1: 0.5 Magic/sec
Level 2: 1.0 Magic/sec
Level 3: 1.5 Magic/sec

The Solace Magic Prayer is mostly useful for recovering magic after a lengthy battle, making it primarily useful for Faith builds. Correctly employed it can also be used for enabling more aggressive use of the Gauntlet. The actual boost of this Prayer variant is very small but does stack with the Faithful Disciple Trinket.

Tactical Notes:

  • The spell's clone attracts enemy attention and will be attacked by enemies instead of Harkyn. The uses of this spell are legion; it can be used to distract opponents so a player can flee or enable the player to outflank. Other playstyles can take advantage of the buff the clone provides to get the upper hand in a fight.
  • The clone can be used to weigh down pressure plates; necessary to get certain weapons, such as the Bloodlust Shortsword.
  • The buff for the spell only applies while you're close to the clone, so stay close to the clone to benefit from the Prayer special effect.
