Walkthrough

Navigate the entire maze, which requires pulling maze switches several times, finding all 4 resting places, defeat 40 enemies, and defeat the boss.

Pull the 1st lever three times. The door should display what looks like a 'W'. This is the 4th position of the 1st ring.

Enter the door and run all the way to the left. There is a switch at the end.

Pull the 2nd lever three times. The door should display what looks like a 'W'. This is the 4th position of the 2nd ring.

Enter the door and run all the way to the right. There is a switch at the end.

Pull the 3rd lever two times. The door should display what looks like a 'V' but with 2 slashes for the left side of the 'V'. Basically it shows 3 slashes which means this is the 3rd position of the 3rd ring.

You now have access to the middle of the ring. There is a save spot to the right, just before the southern entrance of the middle of the maze. The boss fight starts immediately after you enter the door. 

After you defeated the boss, go and talk to the Mysterious Stranger one last time. Doing so results in his death, which drops an item you can pick up called Fading Fragments.
After picking up this item, go to the anvil at the beginning of the DLC zone. Talk with the Blacksmith and select the option: "I found this in the other world. Any idea how to use it?"
The Blacksmith will craft you one of 3 armor options: Shadow, Mind or Heart.
